Local Public Hearing on Wetterhorn-Handies/Harvard-Yale (WHHY) Well Pad

May 13 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

What’s is WHHY?

The State Wetterhorn-Handies/Harvard-Yale (WHHY) oil and gas development plan is a project proposed by Civitas Resources that would add up to 38 hydraulic fracturing wells to state-owned land east of the Aurora Reservoir (see map below). These wells, part of the larger Lowry Ranch Comprehensive Area Plan, would have an immense cumulative impact on the air, water, and people of Aurora.

Please join Save The Aurora Reservoir in speaking up about your concerns at this in-person hearing! Decision makers from the Energy & Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) will be present to listen and take note of comments from members of the public. This a preliminary step prior to any recommendations or decisions by the ECMC, making it an important opportunity to influence the process.
